Roger is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (California). He holds a Master of Science degree in Clinical/Counseling Psychology, from California State University, San Bernadino. He has worked as a therapist in both private practice and community settings, as well as Employee Assistance Programs (EAP), and as a contractor with the DOD. Roger specializes in individual and couples therapy with adults and older adolescents. He particularly enjoys working with those who are navigating depression, anxiety, trauma, interpersonal relationship conflicts, grief and loss, and cross-cultural transitions. Roger has extensive cross-cultural experience and regularly volunteers internationally at a counseling center that assists global workers with their mental health needs. Roger specializes in Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy (AEDP), an experiential approach based on neuroscience, attachment theory, and emotion research. In his couples work, he utilizes Transformative Couples Therapy (TCT) and Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy (EFCT). Roger is also a Level I trained EMDR therapist. He is a preferred provider with CareFirst Blue Cross Blue Shield, Cigna, United Healthcare, and also offers private pay options.
